Three days with a purpose

A relocation visit should make the metro legible before it tries to make a decision. This plan starts with the parts of Albuquerque that change ownership, then narrows to the properties worth more time.

Plan the first visit before booking showings

Listing photographs do not reveal jurisdiction, access, terrain, the route to a property or how a neighbourhood actually connects to the rest of the metro. A deliberate first visit prevents a long day of tours in areas that do not fit the way you intend to live.

1

Day one — learn the ground

Start with geography and jurisdictions: foothills, valley, villages and the routes that make each one work day to day.

2

Day two — narrow the fit

Tour the two or three segments that match the brief, including the roads, terrain and setting around the houses.

3

Day three — examine the shortlist

Return to the properties worth pursuing and identify the records, documents and specialists needed before an offer.
